THE SALON

Where is MONPERE salon located and how do I get there?

The salon is in Rose Bay, directly opposite the beach. Type our address 3-5/686 New South Head Road into your Google Maps. When you get there, you will see 'Sportscraft' and the gift store 'byKim'. Walk down the blue painted walkway between those two shops, towards Percival Park and the beach and you'll see the Academy first and the the Salon at the end of the lane! Free 2 hour short stay parking is available in the Parisi's car park just 2 mins away from the salon, or for free unlimited stays you can park a little further up Newcastle St, Wilberforce Avenue, Dover Road or Richmond Rd. The Rose Bay ferry wharf is a 5 minute stroll away, or the 324 bus stops right outside.

How do I book in for a  service?

Choose your stylist based upon their  expertise.  Either message or call the salon phone/email/Instagram, or contact your chosen stylist directly on their own Instagram (see About Us). You can also book online via the BOOK NOW page on this website.

Do  you have a cancellation policy?

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or change the services you originally booked with less than 48 hours notice you will be charged 50% of your appointment fee. If you change or cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours before your appointment time, you will be charged 100% of your appointment fee. Whilst we understand that things do come up, we are a small business and find it hard to fill appointment times with little notice. Our cancellation policy is fair to our salon stylists and clients and without prejudice; it helps us to keep our business running in a timely and well priced manner.

I'm a stylist or freelance artist and want to 'rent a chair' or hire the Salon or Academy for an event. How do I do that?

We rent our chairs to freelance artists to come and work with their own guests in the salon; we are open to a range of experts including hairstylists, make up artists, beauty therapists and manicurists. We also lease the entire Academy space to educators looking to hold workshops and training events, as well as bridal parties looking for a 'preparation' venue ahead of their big day and for companies hosting their product launches.

HAIR EXTENSIONS

Where do you source the hair extensions from?

Our hair comes a variety of sources, such as Russia, Mongolia, India and Brazil. We only use well known brands, who ethically source all the hair that we buy, as well as providing a  hair recycling scheme for all your old hair extensions!

How long will my hair extensions last?

With excellent aftercare  and maintenance your hair extensions can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. The better quality hair will last a little longer, and although it may be a little more expensive, it definitely stands the test of time. Extensions will need to be well protected from the sun, pool/ocean water, suncream and other tanning products as well as heat styling tools. A complete after guide will be given to each person after their initial fitting.

How often do I need to get my extensions lifted?

As your natural hair grows down, so will the hair extensions you have just had fitted. We therefore recommend having your extensions lifted every 6-8 weeks.

What extensions are best for me, how many grams do I need and how much will they be?

As every person and their head of hair is different, we can only give a complete and accurate quote after a thorough hair and  scalp assessment.
